Department of Climatology Climate of Arctic and Antarctic Regions | |||||

Polar studies are very intensive at the Department of Climatology and almost the whole staff takes part in them. Their results are the greatest number of publications, ,three Master theses, two Ph. D. theses, and two qualifying thesis for assistant-professor. Our Department participated in polar expeditions in Iceland, on Spitsbergen, and on the Antarctic at the H. Arctowski Station on the King George Island and on the continent at the A. B. Dobrowolski Station. In 1993-1995 the Department of Climatology realised a grant of the Scientific Research Comittee "Comparison of Arctic and Antarctic climate. |
